Ryan has over twelve years of experience, joining SSA in the fall of 2012. He previously worked at JSA Architects in NH for 7 years, where he worked on a variety of project types including education, health care, commercial, municipal, hospitality and residential design. His educational projects include the renovation of Roger Williams Hall and Hedge Hall at Bates College, the Dining Commons at Jackson Laboratory, and several projects at the University of New Hampshire.
Ryan’s design skill, attention to detail, and construction expertise are assets to the office. At SSA, he has been worked on renovation of Estabrooke Hall at the University of Maine and the renovation of Anderson Hall at Brewster Academy into a performing arts space. He is currently the project manager for the Bangor Public Library Addition and Renovation and the new gymnasium at Lisbon High School. Ryan is also a member of the Portland Society of Architects and is on the board of Architalx.
A commensurate tinkerer whose life occasionally becomes cluttered with old bicycles and vintage radios, Ryan is an avid hiker, an enthusiastic explorer of the Casco Bay Islands, and for the most part remains unscathed by obtaining his philosophy degree.
