Camp Timanous Dining Hall Addition

Simons Architects started working with Camp Timanous on a master plan and facilities assessment of their historic boys summer camp. The master plan effort helped the camp identify their most pressing needs on campus, the largest being an update to the dining hall.

We helped them put together a concept plan for the dining hall, pulling off smaller additions to highlight a main feature of the summer camp, the historic barn. An addition was planned that wrapped around two sides of the barn, providing the camp with a full commercial kitchen, two covered indoor walk-ins, ample storage, added dining space, and a covered outdoor deck that wraps around three sides. The camp moved their memorabilia back into the expanded dining hall in the spring of 2025 to inaugurate their first full season.
