Casco Bay Ferry Terminal Phases II & III

Casco Bay Lines has been a long-term client of Simons Architects, dating back to 2014. Simons Architects has added three phased additions to the ferry terminal— the first phase was the addition of the terminal entry and plaza, and the last two phases, most recently completed in 2022, updated the existing operational spaces with current and projected operational needs.

The latest changes added a second floor to the existing administrative area, which allowed for the first floor space to be opened up for use by operations and freight traffic. Other improvements included the reconditioning of the building’s foundation system and adding length to the pier. Site work adjustments to the exterior of the building were made to improve both foot, vehicle, and freight traffic.
