Located in Rockland, the Good Tern Co-op and Hole in the Wall Bagels engaged SA to envision a future expansion that united the two under one roof. Balancing the desire to create a highly visible presence on Main Street on this tight site required careful consideration of daily deliveries, parking, traffic flow, and customer experience. The new building, which utilizes the existing volume of the Co-op, more than doubles its current footprint and provides for dedicated staff office space on the second level, as well as a community room and deck that will be available for classes, workshops, and community events. The café space on the lower level takes advantage of the beautiful view and allows for easy in and out flow for customers who stop in for a quick grocery run or coffee.
