Matt has been practicing architecture for 8 years, joining SA in 2019 after living and working in Portland for three years. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Cooper Union in New York, graduating in 2015. Since starting at SA, he has worked on a variety of projects on all scales from public to private with a particular interest in community-focused design. He enjoys the collaborative nature of the architectural design process and strives to bring the best possible solutions to clients and communities.

He has worked on the renovation and expansion of a few Maine libraries, Rice Public Library in Kittery and the currently under construction Jesup Memorial Library in Bar Harbor. Other projects include the renovation of the main gallery at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, the design for a new Maine Public Headquarters and a bird-safe home in Durham. Currently, he is working with the non-profit Milestone Recovery on renovating a new home for their detox program in Portland. He brings a strong interest in sustainable, functional, accessible, and beautiful design to all of his work. He is a licensed Architect in the state of Maine and is currently pursuing PHIUS consultant certification.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys swimming, the outdoors, plays saxophone and keyboard, and works on his house in Westbrook.
